404: Each Child is Mathematically Amazing: Learning From Students to Support Participation

Participants will learn about practices that (a) support students to explain their mathematical ideas and engage with others' mathematical ideas, (b) enable teachers to hear what the students say and (c) enable teachers to use what they hear to support learning. The session draws on Cognitively Guided Instruction research and makes use of a range of video examples of students, teachers and classrooms.
